Kellogg's Aisle Reinvention
Few aisles in the grocery store are as cluttered and distracting as the cereal aisle. With shoppers choosing to skip the aisle altogether, opting for other more mobile breakfast options, Kellogg's partnered with Arc's Retail Design Group to reinvent the category.
We created a new cereal destination, themed as a café serving cereal items for every meal and snacking occasion. This fresh look, using white-washed wood and white tile to neutralize the vibrant cereal boxes on shelf, encouraged shoppers to explore new categories (from sweet treats to healthier options, and a section for newly launched brands/flavors) and to pair cereal with their favorite toppings.
This shift to add-ons now inspires shoppers to drizzle honey for an afternoon pick-me-up or sprinkle chocolate chips for an evening treat — proving that cereal isn't just for breakfast anymore.
